Support for locals recovering from the flood events
This page has everything you need to know about the small relief grants (up to $500) that had been made available to Mārahau residents and groups to support clean-up and recovery following the floods.
We put $10,000 aside to help ease some of the burden. The aim was to keep things simple, local, and low-stress.
We have now allocated $11,500 directly to support flood clean-up and recovery for Mārahau locals and the funds have been fully allocated. This marks the close of the fund, and we’re grateful it could provide a bit of support where it was needed.
MAKE AN APPLICATION
Who could apply?
To be eligible, you had to:
Live in Mārahau, or be a locally based community group
Have been directly affected by the recent flood (e.g. property damage, income disruption, extra clean-up costs)
Be applying for something that helps you or others get back on your feet (and isn’t already covered by other assistance)
